Summary:
The Facility Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing general building and equipment maintenance, as well as adhering to the preventive maintenance schedule for machinery.
Responsibilities:
Schedule and oversee assigned contractors, ensuring work is performed safely, with quality, and cleanliness.
Escort contractors in critical areas when necessary.
Conduct building repairs including drywall, paint, ceiling tile, flooring, doors, and hardware.
Perform plumbing repairs including faucets, sinks, toilets, drains, valves, and pumps.
Complete exterior repairs such as irrigation, signs, fences, roofs, and metal siding.
Address electrical repairs including lamp replacements, switches, receptacles, wiring, and circuit installations.
Conduct daily inspections of facilities and mechanical equipment to ensure proper operation, completing maintenance checklists as required.
Follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Language / Communication Skills:
Proficient in reading and writing English to complete necessary forms.
Effective communication with supervisors and coworkers.
Spanish language skills are a plus.
