Accounting Assistant / Clerk (Temporary) Description
Palo Alto Staffing has partnered with a global healthcare company to identify an Accounting Assistant/Clerk to support the revenue team. This is a full-time, 6 month contract.
Responsibilities
Update daily cash receipts from lockbox in Excel spreadsheet, assist with printing bank statements
Arrange monthly journal entries, ensure all entries match our report
Save soft copies of journal entries and reconciliations on hard drive
Assist with entering journal entries in accounting system
Print our support for journal entries
File documents and forms, prepare binders
Prepare and process refund check requests and follow up with AP
Assist in copying/scanning/printing packages for reconciliations and other items
Sort mail and distribute it to various recipients within Finance
Ad-hoc projects as they arise
Qualifications
Experience supporting finance or revenue team
Some accounting experience or classes will be helpful
Strong problem-solving and follow up skills; must be proactive and take initiative
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to be flexible re-prioritizing near-term responsibilities
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Outlook, Word
TRAVEL, PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Standing or sitting for long periods of time may be necessary
Some lifting (greater than 25 pounds) may be necessary; Facilities, Materials and Engineering employees occasionally must lift at least 50-75 pounds.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
