With preliminary direction from a licensed architect, aid the marketing department with the current company web site; assist in all phases of large and small scale projects, including corporate and developer campuses, education, biotech, and health care projects, including new construction, renovation, tenant improvement, and parking garage; conduct site reconnaissance, site investigations, and onsite charettes; design and concept development for competitions requiring expedited concept development and document production; analyze sketches, photographs, notes, and site survey of existing conditions & other input material to determine best approaches for completion of drawings to solve technical issues of design in relation to sites and buildings; implement space planning and programming and custom detailing; evaluate lighting and material options using Ecotect; prepare sketches, construction documents, architectural details and specifications for concept design presentations and presentation packages using 2D/3D CAD and building information modeling (BIM) software, including Revit, AutoCAD, 3D Studio MAX/VIZ, SketchUp, PhotoShop, Illustrator, and InDesign, building models, and freehand sketching including pencil, ink, water color, and markers; organize and maintain the CAD files and standards; supervise and direct drafting staff in the preparation of construction documents; render designs using Maya and VRay and create animated walk-throughs as well as aerial fly-bys; monitor render farm with Backburner; provide research, planning, and design solutions, applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, ADA, Fair Housing Act, zoning and building codes compliance, and building materials; recommend materials to be used and assist in estimating quantities required; coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection (MEP/FP), lighting, landscape, code, traffic, parking, zoning, signage, acoustic, waste management, curtain wall, faade maintenance, special systems, vertical transportation, and structural consultants to incorporate engineering systems into unified design for client and agency review and approval; perform necessary modifications of drawings and specifications as construction projects progress and changes in dimensions, materials, and other aspects of design arise from client, agency or public input; apply architectural principles to review all related shop drawings, submittals, samples and mock ups; conduct post-occupancy review of clients use of space and site; incorporate space planning and programming and custom detailing into designs; participate in project team discussions and public meetings to provide recommendations when revisions from government agencies, planning officials, clients and other stakeholder groups are necessary and translate clients functional and spatial requirements for site and structures into conceptual design solutions, incorporating LEED sustainable design principles; coordinate communication between licensed Architects and Senior Planners and other internal and external team members as well as clients and represent the firm to obtain approvals from clients and federal, state and local agencies having jurisdiction over projects; participate in meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and public agencies on a given project; assist the Project Manager in establishing task schedule and manpower requirements consistent with the project agreement; assist in identifying and quantifying tasks outside the scope of the Owner-Architect agreement for negotiation of additional services.
Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Architecture or foreign equivalent plus 4 years experience to include participating in the interview process for prospective projects and preparing Power Point presentation; SD/DD/CD phases of large and small scale projects, including corporate and developer campuses, education, biotech, and health care projects, including new construction, renovation, tenant improvement, and parking garage; performing economic analysis for planning; conducting site survey and analysis of existing conditions; applying sustainable design principles; design development and presentations using hand renderings in ink, pencil, and markers, building models, and 2D/3D software, including 3D Studio MAX/VIZ, SketchUp, PhotoShop, Illustrator, Maya, Vray, and InDesign; coordinating with civil and MEP consultants to incorporate site infrastructure and engineering systems and with contractors on RFIs and change orders; drafting field reports and punch lists using Bluebeam software; supporting in the development of proposals including input for the design schedule and budgeting; preparing design guidelines, capacity studies, concept plans, development plans, and entitlement plans; coordinating input from multiple partners to translate into site plans; translating clients' functional and spatial requirements for structures into feasible design solutions, incorporating LEED sustainable design principles and preparing LEED documentation; evaluating general contractor bids and project budgets and coordinate construction budgets with clients and contractors to respond to requests for information (RFIs) and reviewing and responding to contractor change orders, including conformance with budgets and payments; budgeting and scheduling using Excel and MS Project; assisting with construction payment applications; conducting weekly site visits and progress meetings to observe construction progress and prepare field observation reports, final inspections, punch lists, and certificates of substantial completion; preparing project documents in MS Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; managing project data and transmission and all electronic communications utilizing Excel or other approved software; maintaining log of all RFIs and Submittals including date received, date returned and status of unreturned requests utilizing Excel or other approved software; assisting in managing project consultant agreements and project budgets.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
