Network and Systems Engineer


Job Description:
HeartFlow is looking for a Network and Systems Engineer. The primary responsibility is to build and maintain network infrastructures for our headquarters and data centers hosting HeartFlow SaaS products. In addition, the candidate will perform some Linux systems administration tasks. The candidate will be part of our systems engineering team and will work closely with our cloud engineers.
Job
Responsibilities:
Evaluate current network infrastructures and propose and implement improvements to meet new business requirements
Design, setup, configure and maintain firewalls for headquarters and data centers using Palo Alto Networks and including IDS and IPS monitoring integration
Design, setup, configure and maintain complex switching environments
Design, setup, configure and maintain wireless networking and VPN that supports secured access to business applications
Integrate HeartFlow SaaS product network with the public cloud
Supervising the administration of systems and servers related network to ensure availability of services to authorized users
Perform Linux administrative activities
Perform troubleshooting of network and system problems
Diagnose, isolate, troubleshoot and fix technical issues under pressure
Train, comply with and improve operation procedures
Participate in capacity planning
Participate to the continuous improvements of the secure and scalable web deployment in a modern cloud environment
Participate to the continuous improvements of cybersecurity controls
Participate to the continuous improvements of the Platform monitoring and logging functions
Participate to the continuous improvements of the Platform for the business continuity and effective disaster recovery
Any other infrastructure task that might be required
Needed skills and qualities:

Internet knowledge: DNS, LDAP, Security, IP routing, HTTP etc
Palo Alto Networks firewalls including IDS and IPS monitoring
Good knowledge of both Linux and Windows systems
Wireless and VPN (Client-Server, and Site-to-Site) networking
IP address scheme
Extensive knowledge of Cisco routers and switches including VSS
Knowledge of Windows AD and DC
Knowledge of high availability and disaster recovery principles
Strong knowledge of security principles and technologies
Strong network engineering skills
Understanding of web application deployment
Methodical and systematic
Excellent communication skills
Ability to follow and develop operation procedures
Great team player

Desired Skills:
A familiarity with many of the following technologies: CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, PFSense, Mail/Postfix, DNS, DHCP, TFTP, VPN, Aruba Wireless, 802.11b/a/g/n, ucarp, RADIUS.
Healthcare industry knowledge

Educational Requirements, Work
Experience:
B.Eng, B.S. or M.S in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
7
years of experience as a network engineer for SaaS product(s)
Experience with large distributed and highly available services
Experience with logging, monitoring and alerting
Experience with deployment of services to cloud solutions such as AWS, RackSpace, Google Cloud etc
Proven track record of delivering results on timeEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
