About the Job
AutoGrid Systems has an immediate opening for an experienced DevOps Engineer. You will be responsible for the tools that automate infrastructure deployment, manage application configuration and monitor services. Responsibilities include:
Developing and documenting automation tools and processes
Creating and managing Development and QA AWS infrastructure
Building monitoring scripts to monitor infrastructure, processes, platform and applications, troubleshooting deployments, documenting issues and solutions
Managing tasks and issues within an agile environment

About You
You are enthusiastic about learning new skills as quickly as possible
You know how to script and are constantly looking to improve
Know enough about Linux but always on the look out for new tips
Familiar about networking infrastructure and never hesitant to learn more
Understand or have used AWS services with a passion to utilize it in scale
Requirements
Deployment automation using Ansible
Monitoring solutions (e.g. Monit, Nagios)
Ability to work with AWS EC2 and VPC services
Ability to deploy, monitor and maintain Cloudera (CDH) clusters
Knowledge of Linux OS (Ubuntu Server preferred)
Solid understanding of networking and VPN tunnels
Basic scripting capabilities (e.g. Python, bash)
A passion to learn, improve, and implement services within the cloud
Excellent communication and technical writing skills
Able to multi-task and quickly adapt to new requirements
Ability to be on-call when required
Computer Science or equivalent engineering degree
At least 2 years of DevOps or System Administration experience
Nice to Have
Experience in one or more programming languages such as Python, Ruby, Node.js, Java
Knowledge of networking and monitoring services
Familiarity with deploying services such as Hadoop, RabbitMQ, Redis, MySQL
Familiarity with applications deployed in Java, Ruby/Rails, or Python
Experience with Git
Knowledge of web frameworks
Knowledge of a provisioning or automation framework (Ansible, Chef)
Experience in operating a 24x7 service
