Software Developer 4 (Mobile and Web Applications)

Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. You will be responsible for defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 7 years of software engineering or related experience.

We are part of Oracle Fusion Middleware organization responsible for Mobile and UI Development Tools. We are seeking a resourceful Software Development Engineer to develop both internal and external Automation Tools, frameworks, and products. Ideal candidates would have experience in software development, automation, and the entire Software Development Life Cycle with excellent oral and written communication skills.
The ideal candidate would have experience developing automation frameworks and tools for desktop, web based, and mobile products. Technology proficiencies needed for this position include Java/J2EE, XML, Eclipse, JDeveloper, ADF, JSF, JSP and many other state of the art tools and technologies. The tools and technologies used in this role includes: Selenium, OATS, Abbot, Junit, MonkeyTalk and some Home Grown systems, so knowledge of these automation tools is required.
The candidate needs experience engaging with very diverse teams that work together in completing tasks. These are very large and complex products in a complex environment.
Preferred
Qualifications:
1. Strong Technical Skills (Java/ J2EE, JSF, JSP, XML, ADF) including ability to program in at least one OOP language.
2. Prior experience with mobile development and/or mobile test automation on iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile platforms.
3. Development background with the latest tools and methods of providing high quality automation and deployment of complex enterprise products. Selenium, OATS, Junit, MonkeyTalk, and Abbot along with other automated tools are being used along with manual and Home Grown systems.
4. Prior experience building and maintaining automation frameworks from scratch.
5. Experience working with a Software Engineering / Product Development company.
